WOAD CORNER

Timeline

In 2017 The new Woad Corner garages will become a vintage destination site hosting the worlds first fully operational vintage Shell petrol filling station. The re-development of the former Woad Corner garages into an iconic Art Deco styled Shell service station will offer the public a themed experience including a vintage drive thru diner, 50’s coffee bar, classic car showrooms and period retailing.

The site already has a rich automotive history, with the first garage built here in 1908, Woad Corner has been serving the community for over a century, and the nostalgic feel hasn't changed much in all that time.

HISTORIC NEWPORT PAGNELL

Motoring Pedigree

For over 1,000 years Newport Pagnell, with its major roads and two rivers, has played an important part in the life of North Buckinghamshire.  The road links between Leicester and London and Oxford and Cambridge brought prosperity to the town for centuries.  Coaching inns sprang up to cater for travellers and bridges were built including in 1810 one across the Lovat which is the oldest cast iron bridge in Britain still carrying road traffic.

Today Newport Pagnell offers visitors and residents all the amenities of a modern market town.  Furthermore, its position adjacent to the M1, close to the new city of Milton Keynes, and in the midst of Buckinghamshire countryside makes Newport Pagnell an ideal centre to visit.
